Software Developer – Music Data Analytics

We are searching for a skilled software developer to join our team working on proprietary algorithms that process and extract insights from music data. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative techniques to understand musical tastes, trends, and patterns.
Responsibilities:
– Analyze product requirements and technical specifications for our music analytics projects
– Research and implement approaches for extracting metadata and attributes from music data sources
– Develop data pipelines and models to structure and store music data for analysis
– Create algorithms to programmatically process music data to detect key musical features and attributes
– Continuously improve algorithms to enhance accuracy and depth of music data insights
– Write reusable, testable and well-documented code that integrates with various components
– Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and PMs
Requirements:
– 3+ years experience developing data analysis and machine learning algorithms
– Proficiency in languages like Python; experience with NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn
– Expertise in digital signal processing and audio analysis techniques
– Knowledge of advanced math and statistics for quantitative modeling
– Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, software design
– Experience extracting insights from large, complex datasets
– Understanding of music composition, theory, and characteristics
– Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
– BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Music Technology or related field
